Description
There can, surely, be nothing more necessary in the learning of Maths than ‘knowing’ one’s Tables. By ‘knowing’, I mean being able to answer any Table question without first having to work it out. People of my generation will no doubt remember the laborious task of learning said ‘Tables’ by rote. Beneficial as the result was, the process of learning was one that left much to be desired.
Often, a child who struggles with numeracy will respond well in literacy. This book aims to combine numeracy and literacy, so that children learn Tables sub-consciously as they recite humorous rhymes. The book has been written for both parents and class teachers and aims to put a smile on the face of both ‘student’ and ‘teacher’, when ‘doing Tables’ becomes a fun thing to do.
The Tables are accompanied by differentiated, photocopiable worksheets that will support Key Stages 1 and 2.
